I came home with Typhoid Vinnie!!! I got her cold big time abd promptly went to the dr. I didn't want to end up in the hospital!!

My daughter is very excited. She is going to be an Aunt again. Her sister in law who got married in October is Pregnant!! I'm glad too. She is 38!!

Thinking about Vickie and Butch today.

I know how hard it is for them. I've felt with cancer all my life.

Morning Carla and OFF family yet to stop in...

Well we got SNOW here and LOTS of it!!!!!! Guessing at maybe 8 inches dumped here yesterday. YUCK!!!! Snow plowers got an earful when I called to complain how they pushed the snow here!!! What part of handicap disabled elderly do they NOT understand???? These idiot plow drivers  keep putting the snow over the sidewalks every time and also at the entrances of the complex they pile the snow so dam high we can't see if any traffic is coming when we try to drive out of here!!! They block off the handicap ramps also everytime and they have been told not to do that as they need to get wheelchairs down them and also if the squad comes they use them also!!!!!!! Rick was snowblowing when they were there and the idiots went right behind him and blocked off what he just did!!! OMG I thought he was going to kill!!!!!!!! I am waiting for the police to call me and tell me the piles are to close to the road. I will then tell them I have told the plow people SEVERAL times not to do that...maybe THEY should call them and tell them!!!! I am not happy with these idiots at all they do NOT listen to us when we explain to them how to do the place they just push snow where THEY want to!! And they don't do it all!!!!!!Wish corporate would buy us a plow truck so we could do it ourselves!!!!!!!

Went to Bingo last night won $40.00 wooohoo!!!!!!!! Made me happy!!!! LOL

NASCAR race today...see Kyle Busch had bad accident last night. Broke his right leg and fractured his left foot. WOW!! Don't like him but sorry for his bad luck. His brother Kurt is also out of race because of domestic violence with his girlfriend. That I am not sure is true. Why would she wait 2-3 months to report that??? Something not right there!!! I do not like Kurt either but something fishy going on. If a man tried to choke me and bash my head against the wall I sure as hell would report his ass ASAP!!!!!!!

Going to make Nachos today. Been years since I made mine and I thought I bought everything I needed and I forgot 2 things!! GRRR green pepper and sour cream!!! Sooooo back to the store for them!!! Sighs.....

Carla you be careful traveling!!! Lots of nasty weather yet!!! You getting sick going form warm to cold weather all the time!!!

Thoughts and Prayers for ALL that need them!!!

HUGSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

Hi Judy....I am so sorry you got all that snow again last night. I know you are just sick of it. Call and give that plow company hell. Do you have a local newspaper or radio station. Call them and have them come out and take pictures. They can write up a story about it!!

YAY...you won $40 that is great...you sure are lucky...I never win at Bingo....guess that is another reason I quit going! If it wasn't for bad luck I wouldn't have any luck at all!!!

Nachos sounds really good...enjoy!!!

Lots of love and many hugs....connie d

Judy ... Too bad corporate doesn't have some type of penalty clause in their contract with the plowers. Maybe you could e-mail some pictures to them to show what a lousy job they are doing??? ..... Warmer today, but more snow and frigid temperatures due tonite, so what else is new? ...... Hope everyone has a good day. Thank goodness I get my computer back tomorrow, because this pad is acting up now!! Everything is falling apart on me. I recently got a Roku box to use to get Netflix instead of cable .... Roku worked great for three weeks, but now I've had to call customer service twice this week. Very frustrating!!

Hi Mary....weather here isn't the best either....the frigid temps are what makes it so hard to go anywhere. Be careful out driving tomorrow! I am happy that the computer will be back in your home tomorrow. ENJOY!!!!

Carla,

You sound like me with your road trips.   On spring break, I am loading up with friends and we are driving from NWA to Tampa...along the way, we are stopping off in New Orleans and then again in a couple of other places....we will be in Tampa for about a week and head back....I will be exhausted but it will be so much fun.    DH cannot go on this trip but in November, we are flying to New Zealand and Singapore for a couple of weeks....  To be truthful, I love road trips much more than I love flying places.    Our next family road trip is to take the grandkids to Yellowstone and then down to AZ to see the Grand Canyon and the painted desert and the petrified forest.   Of all my siblings, I'm the only one who travels at the drop of a hat. LOL.

Vic, I hope Butch had a good night and I hope you are taking care of yourself.

Judy, I think it's time for corporate to get involved with the company that provides the snow plowing service...We live in a huge national forest and we have trees that need to be trimmed and there are tons of tree trimming companies that trim around power lines etc. sometimes, they leave their mess along the sides of the roads and near driveways...we had to fight to get them to come clean up the mess from the huge ice storm we had a few years ago.

Today, I am heading down to the valley to pick up 1000 dollars worth of girl scout cookies that my granddaughter is selling and my colleagues and friends have ordered.    My baby girl sold more than anyone in her local chapter and the state chapter.   Of course, she has a Nana that sold like crazy for her.  She would have won with just the ones she sold to our family but I sold them for her up here and my husband sold for her to the folks in his office and of course we both ordered enough boxes to share with our coworkers.  I don't mind taking the orders but I sure do hate delivering the goods.

I hope you all have a restful day.

Hi Jeannie....it sounds like you have many adventures planned. That is so wonderful. Have a great time with your friends and family!!

$1000 dollars worth of cookie's WOW!! We just had a huge article in our paper about Girl Scout Cookies. It was how they want the girls selling there own cookies. They don't feel the girls are learning anything by having others do it for them. Sure they love the sales but that is defeating the purpose. I don't see how they can stop that. Girls now a days can't just go door to door. There is too much fear as to who is on the other side of that door. I wouldn't want my granddaughter going alone. People now don't even know their neighbors. I know too that sometimes cookies are ordered and then people can't pay for them. That can be a mess too. It will be interesting what the Girl Scouts come up with to solve that issue.

Much love and many hugs....connie d

Connie,

I totally agree about the girl scouts selling their own cookies; however, at my job, everyone knows my granddaughter is in the scouts and they all email me asking for cookies.   Now our relatives and friends are the ones that she either calls or drops by their houses to sell cookies.    And, last year, when we delivered the cookies, she came to my office and went to each person's office brining their cookies and getting the checks.   Also, her troop sets outside of walmart selling cookies and my granddaughter has sold so many cookies between our family and friends and of course with my husband and me selling for her that any cookies that she sells at Walmart, she gives the credit to her BFF who didn't sell as many.   In fact, I am sure that she is dividing up some of her sales so her friend can also get the really cool prizes.   Plus, her troop has sold so much that they are all getting, for the troop, camping gear.   I cannot think of a better way for me to contribute to my granddaughter's troop.   Plus, all parents and grandparents do the selling for the kids...I agree that it has taken away the kids responsibility of actually doing the door to door.

Jeanne...no need to explain....I was just saying Girl Scouts Organization is being questioned.

I always helped my granddaughters sell cookies. Many of my friends and co worker also knew the girls. We sold cookies at the mall and other stores as well. As long as they were helping it was okay.

I was just saying it is ridiculous that after all these years that now they want it to change...a little to late.

Love and more hugs....connie d
